NEWS

HEREFORDSHIRE DRAFT LOCAL PLAN 2021-2024 (REGULATION 18) CONSULTATION

From 25th March 2024 to 20th May 2024 Herefordshire Council are consulting on the draft Local Plan which highlights Planning Policies for the county and includes policies for the market towns, including Kington.  This is an important document and this is your chance to have your say on future growth in Herefordshire until 2041.  Go to https://hlp.commonplace.is/ for further information.

The Town Council will be holding an additional meeting on Monday 22nd April 2024 at 6.00pm in the Old Police Station, Market Hall Street, to consider it's own responses to the consultation.  As with all town council meetings, members of the public are very welcome to attend the meeting and may, at the discretion of the Chair, speak at the meeting.

It is important to note that the town council response to the consultation carries no more weight than any individual's comments/observations.  It is therefore important that members of the public submit their own responses to the consultation via the website as detailed above.
