After four years of surveys, questionnaires, discussions, meetings and many many hours of work, the Kington Town, Huntington and Kington Rural & Lower Harpton Neighbourhood plan was presented for referendum on 25th July 2019.  The results of the vote were:

No. of votes Yes:        303

No. of votes No:         315 

The total number of votes recorded represented 24.23% of the registered electors.

The result means that as more than half of those voting voted that they do not want Herefordshire Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Kington Area to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area.
